How Did It All Start?
Born in Wisconsin, Troy spent his childhood fishing at the local dock. Daily every summer, with a tackle box and a life preserver in hand he spent most of his childhood talking to all his much older fellow fishermen. Throughout his life, he visited Florida fell in love with the weather, fishing, scuba diving and boating opportunities. He got the proverbial “sand shoes” moved to Florida permanently. His mother being a diver, gave him a dive class for his birthday and the rest they say is history. He was smitten with the underwater world. For the next year or so he diligently sought out “everything” scuba and his love became a career. He opened a dive shop in Bradenton, Florida, where for more than 6 years, Dive Florida became “your ticket to the underwater world” where locals and vacationers alike have become friends; as everyone loves to participate in what Florida has to offer.
